Meet the Artist
Why Stained Glass?
I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. Anyone from the big city knows that it is full of culture, from the wonderful cuisine to the jazzy music. Part of our culture has an immense religious presence as well. There are churches on every block, and we even have our own religious holiday that involves several weeks of partying and having fun: Mardi Gras. With such a huge Christian influence, you can imagine how much stained glass artwork I’ve seen. It’s not limited to our churches, either; you can find stained glass around town, in shops and people’s houses.
I always found stained glass to be beautifully fascinating. When I was young, I would sometimes imagine my own life and experiences depicted in stained glass. It wasn’t until high school that I dared try to recreate stained glass on paper. It was a challenge, and I tossed the art aside so I could prioritize other important things. In April of 2024, however, I finally gave it a fair shot after years of building fundamental art skills, and the result was to die for. That first try is the one titled “Rhiannon”, which you can find in my portfolio as well!

What’s the secret?
Well it wouldn’t be a secret if I told you… but here goes!
Software

I use this program for practically everything from illustrations to graphic designs. I find myself learning something new about the program almost every day.

I use this for all of my organization and task tracking. It’s a super customizable program! If you plan to use this, I recommend emailing them to turn off the AI features on your account. They’ll gladly remove it asap!
Hardware

This is my digital drawing tablet! It has a pen that I use on the screen itself, the same way I would with pencil & paper!
